####Connect VPN with OpenVPN Connect on Android OS

OpenVPN is an open source protocol. It allows you to create secure digital tunnels between the client and the server to bypass censorship, protect data when connecting to public networks and surf the Internet anonymously.

OpenVPN Connect is the official application for working with the OpenVPN protocol. The program allows you to easily connect to servers via .ovpn configuration files.

To connect VPN using OpenVPN Connect on Android, follow these steps:

- <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.openvpn.openvpn&hl=en" target="_blank">Download</a> the OpenVPN Connect app from Google Play and install it on your phone.

- Click on the icon next to the one that says **OpenVPN Configuration**. Or click on the inscription itself.

- Once the file is downloaded to your phone's memory, open it.

- The system may suggest an application to open the file with. Select OpenVPN Connect. Immediately a message will appear where the program will ask you to confirm your actions. **Click OK**.

- A warning will appear that the profile does not include a client certificate. You don't have to worry about that. It's just that some configs include certificates for authentication. But since we entered the login and password for authentication in the previous step and saved the data, we don't need a certificate. Click Continue.

- The VPN will start working. You can see this by the green indicator of the switch. To disable the VPN, click the switch again.

-** VPN Protocol**. Select **Adaptive**. App CyberYozh's VPN works using two protocols (TCP and UDP). They will switch depending on the site. By working with two protocols at the same time, you reduce the risk of having your accounts blocked.

- **Connection Timeout**. Select **Continuously retry** to have the VPN constantly reconnect in the event of a connection failure.

- **Battery Saver**. If enabled, the app will pause the VPN when the screen is off to save power. We recommend leaving this option disabled.

- **Seamless Tunnel**. This option allows you to avoid real IP drain in case of VPN server failure and micro-breaks. It's better to have temporary internet loss than to reveal your IP or DNS.
