# Creating a profile and adding a proxy to your profile

Go to the PhantomBuster website and click on your profile in the upper right corner.

Select **Proxies**.

Click the **New Proxy Pool** button.

Enter a name for the proxy pool.

Add proxies in the following format:

- IP address and port
- Login and password, if required

For example:

- 51.79.24.25:9595
- Username: pcomUjvMAk-res-any

It is important to note that the protocol must be **HTTP**, not HTTPS or SOCKS. This is a critical setting, as PhantomBuster is optimized to work with HTTP proxies. Using the wrong protocol may result in automated processes malfunctioning and connection failures.

After entering the data, save the changes. If necessary, add several proxies to one pool.

## Using proxies

Go to **Dashboard**.

Create a new **Phantom**.

Select the module (phantom) you need.

Select **Advanced** in the left menu.

Specify the previously created **Proxy Pool**.
