Proxy settings in Ghost Browser

Ghost Browser is a browser that allows you to safely browse the internet using different profiles. Each profile acts as a separate device with its own settings: a unique browser fingerprint, operating system, screen size, language, and time zone.

It protects your privacy, helps you avoid blocks, and lets you work safely with multiple accounts at the same time.

In this guide, we'll show you how to set up a proxy in Ghost Browser. We're using the English interface, but you can choose your language in the settings.

Ghost Browser works with different types of <a href="https://app.cyberyozh.com/blog/choosing-the-perfect-proxy-types-of-protocols-and-their-features" target="_blank">proxy servers</a>, which helps you choose the best option for your needs. The browser supports the following protocols:

- HTTP/HTTPS — the standard protocol for most tasks
- SOCKS4/SOCKS5 — a secure protocol for various connections
- SSH (via SOCKS5) — a protocol with additional security

For Ghost Browser, it is better to use resident or mobile proxies — they are more reliable and less likely to be blocked. In this guide, we will show you how to configure HTTP, although the configuration for SOCKS5 and SSH is similar. To get started, you need to have **Ghost Browser** installed and a reliable personal proxy server. Prepare your login details: username, password, and connection address from your provider.

## Obtaining data for connecting to a proxy on App CyberYozh

On the <a href="https://app.cyberyozh.com/proxy" target="_blank">website</a>, select the <a href="https://app.cyberyozh.com/blog/how-to-choose-and-buy-proxies-on-app-cyberyozh" target="_blank">proxy type</a> that suits you, taking into account the following parameters:
• Proxy type: mobile or residential
• IP type: static or dynamic
• Geolocation: select a country or region
• Provider: make sure it meets your requirements

## Adding a proxy

Open the installed browser.

In the upper right corner, click on the **Ghost Proxy Control** icon.

In the window that opens, click **“Add/Edit Proxies”** to proceed to the settings.

It is possible to add both bulk proxies and single proxies. We will look at both options.

### Adding single proxies

Find the **“Add a Single Proxy”** tab and click on it.

In the window that appears, specify:

- Proxy name
- IP address or host
- Port
- Login and password
- Click **“Add Proxy”**

For example:

- Host: 51.79.24.25
- Port: 9595
- Username: pcomUjvMAk-res-any
- Password: xdtAof3xB7RSmUr

Your settings should look like this:

### Testing the proxy

Go to the **“Test Proxies”** tab.

Enter the URL of the website you want to work with (e.g., Instagram or TikTok).

Click **“Test”**.

As a result, you will receive a report on which proxies are working and which are not. Those that are not working can be disabled.

If any proxies are not suitable, replace them and repeat the test.

### Adding bulk proxies

Find the **“Bulk Proxies”** tab and click on it.

In the new window, click **“Export Sample File”** — this will download a file template into which you need to enter the proxy data.

<p class="alert__content"> The file will have a .csv extension. Do not rename it or save it in .xls or .xlsx formats — this may cause errors during import.

## Filling in the proxy file

Open the downloaded file. The top line shows the structure for entering data:

Add the required number of proxies, one per line. Then save the file.

### Import proxies into Ghost Browser

Return to Ghost Browser.

Click **“Import Proxy List”**.

In the window that opens, select the completed file.

After importing, you will see a list of proxies in the browser interface.

## Creating and launching a profile

Let's select the desired proxy and test it. Now, in the created profile, click on the icon with a face and the inscription “Let's go”.

Click “Create Identity.”

In the window that opens, select the proxy we created in the “Set Proxy” field and click “Save”.

Launch the profile you created.

Go to the created profile and check the proxy connection by going to <a href="https://browserleaks.com/ip" target="_blank">the website</a> to make sure the IP is set correctly.

Congratulations! You have successfully configured your profile and connected a proxy in Ghost Browser. You can now safely browse the internet with flexible traffic routing.
