Proxy settings in Kameleo

**Kameleo** is a special browser for securely working with multiple accounts on the Internet. It was created by the Romanian company **Outis Nemo Ltd**.

To make working in Kameleo more secure, you need to set up a proxy connection. We will show you how to do this step by step. Please note that the browser is only available in English.

Kameleo works with all major types of <a href="https://app.cyberyozh.com/blog/choosing-the-perfect-proxy-types-of-protocols-and-their-features" target="_blank">proxy servers</a>, including standard HTTP/HTTPS and more secure SOCKS4/SOCKS5 protocols.

It is best to use resident or mobile proxies — they work more reliably and are less likely to be blocked. In this guide, we will show you how to configure SOCKS5, but the process is similar for other types of proxies. Before you begin, make sure you have:
• Kameleo browser installed and running
• Proxy details (login, password, and address)

## **Obtaining data to connect to a proxy on the CyberYozh app**

On the <a href="https://app.cyberyozh.com/proxy" target="_blank">website</a>, select the <a href="https://app.cyberyozh.com/blog/how-to-choose-and-buy-proxies-on-app-cyberyozh" target="_blank">proxy type</a> that suits you, taking into account the following parameters:
• Proxy type: mobile or residential
• IP type: static or dynamic
• Geolocation: select a country or region
• Provider: make sure it meets your requirements

After purchasing a proxy, you will receive the connection information:

- Host: Proxy IP address
- Port: Proxy port
- Proxy Username: Login
- Proxy Password: Password

Proxy example:

- Host: 172.98.60.180
- Port: 58763
- Login: 7XbvvWautzmOZMA
- Password: xdtAof3xB7RSmUr

## Launching the browser and selecting a profile

Open **Kameleo**.

Click the **New** button to create a new profile or select an existing one.

In the window that appears, set the following:

- Profile name: Enter any name, for example, MyFirstProfile
- Browser: Select the desired engine (Chrome, Junglefox, Edge)
- Operating system: Select the required OS
- User Agent: Configure as desired

### Proxy settings

Enter the proxy details you received:

- IP address or host;
- Port;
- Connection type (usually SOCKS5 or HTTPS);
- Login and password, if required.

For example:

- Host: 51.79.24.25
- Port: 9595
- Username: pcomUjvMAk-res-any
- Password: xdtAof3xB7RSmUr

Your settings should look like this:

### Checking the connection

Click the **Test Proxy** button to get a report on the proxy's performance.

### Saving and using

Click **Save** to save the settings and launch the browser with the selected profile — it will now use the specified proxy

A browser will open with the specified configuration simulated and the proxy active. Check the proxy connection by going to <a href="https://browserleaks.com/ip" target="_blank">the website</a> to make sure the IP is set correctly.

Great! You have successfully configured Kameleo and connected the proxy. You can now safely browse the internet through a secure connection.
