2. Secure resource management. Using a proxy protects your accounts from network failures and provides an additional layer of privacy and stability for your valuable in-game assets during long sessions. Separation by IP increases the security of each character.

3. Ping reduction and improved routing. You can't cheat physics. If you are located, for example, in Kazakhstan and the server is in Moscow, your ISP's route might take a massive detour. A good proxy straightens this route, eliminating ping spikes (jitter) and packet loss, which is critical during Olympiad and sieges.

💡 Part 2. Which proxies to choose for Lineage 2?

Rotating proxies (which change IP) are strictly unsuitable for online games. If the IP changes right during an RB farm — you will be kicked out of the game (Connection Lost). You need only static addresses.

🔧 Part 3. How to set up a proxy for L2 (Software)

The Lineage 2 client (l2.exe or l2.bin) does not have internal network settings. Therefore, proxies must be implemented through third-party programs.

Method A: Setup in compatible gaming software

Most modern window management programs have a built-in proxy manager, which makes life much easier.

1. Open the program and go to the Settings -> Proxy tab.

2. Click "Add".

3. Enter the data from your personal account: IP, Port (9595), Login, and Password. Type — SOCKS5.

4. Now, when adding a new account (window) to the program, simply select the desired proxy from the drop-down list. The software will automatically route the traffic of that window through the selected IP.

Method B: Setup via Proxifier (For manual play)

If you play manually but want to run different windows through different IPs, you need a proxifier.

1. Install the Proxifier program.

2. In the Profile -> Proxy Servers section, add your SOCKS5 proxies.

3. In the Profile -> Proxification Rules section, click Add.

4. In the Applications field, specify the game's executable file (usually l2.exe; l2.bin).

5. In the Action field, select the added proxy.

6. Lifehack for multi-boxing: To make different windows work on different IPs, you will have to make copies of the System folder, rename l2.bin to l2_window1.bin, l2_window2.bin, and create a separate rule for each file in Proxifier.
