Warface — a dynamic shooter where milliseconds decide everything. "Teleports", poor "hit reg" (damage registration), and high ping — are the player's main enemies. Additionally, the game is divided into strict regions (VK Play RU servers, European, and American servers), and access to them is often restricted by IP.
The developers did not add proxy settings to the game itself. They rely on a direct connection. However, experienced players use proxy tunneling.
This guide will explain how to properly "wrap" Warface traffic into a proxy to lower ping, bypass IP blocks, and play on any server in the world.
📌 Part 1. Why use a proxy in Warface? (3 reasons)
Bypassing IP Bans (Ban Evasion)
Problem: In free-to-play shooters, players are often banned "by hardware" (HWID) or by IP address. If you receive an IP ban (for example, for playing with a cheater in your party), you won't be able to enter a match.
Solution: Changing your IP via a proxy allows you to bypass the network block and re-enter the game, provided you haven't been banned "by hardware".Region Change (Playing on Europe/Brazil)
Problem: Warface has strict regional locking. CIS players are often not allowed on European servers (EU), and vice versa.
Solution: A proxy in the desired country (e.g., Germany for the EU server) makes you appear as a "local" player.Route Stabilization and Optimization (Ping and Lags)
Problem: It often happens that your internet is fast, but the "three computers" icon (packet loss) constantly flashes in the game, and damage to enemies occurs with a delay. This happens because your ISP's route to the Warface servers is overloaded or poorly optimized.
Solution: A gaming proxy acts as a route "straightener". You route traffic through a powerful data center server.
Will it always improve things? No. If you live in Moscow and the server is in Moscow — a proxy will likely add 5-10 ms.
When will it help? If you live far from the server or your ISP has poor gateways. In this case, a proxy can cut routing "detours", eliminate Packet Loss, and make "hit reg" stable.
🛑 Part 2. The Launcher Myth (VK Play / Epic Games)
Many beginners make the same mistake: they configure the proxy in the settings of the VK Play Game Center or Epic Games Store.
Why this DOES NOT work:
These settings only affect downloading updates and displaying the store.
As soon as you click "PLAY", a separate process
Game.exeis launched. It ignores the launcher settings and connects to the network directly through your main internet gateway.
Conclusion: You need to configure not the launcher, but the entire system or the specific game process via special software (proxifier/proxy client).
🔧 Part 3. Setting up a Proxy for Warface
The only working way to play through a proxy is to use a proxifier program. We will use Proxifier, as it can handle UDP (critically important for shooters).
Instructions:
Download Proxifier (Standard Edition).
Add Proxy:
Go to
Profile -> Proxy Servers.Click
Add. Enter the IP and Port.Important: Select the SOCKS5 protocol.
Check the authentication box and enter your Login/Password.
Configure Rules (Proxification Rules):
For VK Play:
.../Warface/Bin64Release/Game.exe- For Epic Games / International: Default:
C:\Program Files\Epic Games\Warface\Bin64Release\Game.exe(If you changed the path during installation, look for theBin64Releasefolder inside the game directory). You might also need to add
Blackwood.exeor anti-cheat files likeMracService.exe.
Go to
Profile -> Proxification Rules.Create a new rule (e.g., "Warface").
In the Applications field, select the game file. Usually, it is located here:
In the Action field, select your SOCKS5 proxy.
DNS Handling:
Go to
Profile -> Name Resolution.Select "Resolve hostnames through proxy". This will hide your real DNS and allow you to bypass regional blocks.
⚠️ Critical Point: UDP Traffic
Shooters transmit coordinates for shots and movements via the fast UDP protocol.
If your proxy doesn't support UDP or you set up an HTTP proxy — you will enter the lobby, but you won't be able to start a match (you'll get an infinite loading screen or a crash).

💡 Part 4. Which proxy to choose for Warface?
Choosing the wrong proxy in a shooter is costly. If the ping is high — you'll be killed before you even see the enemy. Warface is critically dependent on the UDP protocol.
Datacenter Proxies — are a great solution for browsers and tasks requiring high speed. However, game security systems (anti-cheats) have their specifics: they may treat connections from data centers with caution, as regular people rarely play from server racks.
ISP Static (Residential Static Proxies) — are a specialized solution that mimics a real user.
How it works: Technically, it is an IP address of a real internet service provider. To Warface servers, you look not like a proxy user, but like a regular player with home internet.
What it provides:
Maximum trust: Using a "home" IP removes unnecessary attention from the game's security system (MRAC).
Required protocol: Our ISP proxies support SOCKS5 and UDP — this is a mandatory requirement for online shooters.
Location choice tip:
For RU servers (VK Play): Get a proxy in Russia.
For EU servers: Get a proxy in Frankfurt (Germany) or Amsterdam (Netherlands) — that's where the main data centers for European Warface are located.
- ForNA servers (USA): Get a proxy in the USA.The server is located in Washington (sometimes San Jose).
🛡️ Part 5. MRAC Anti-cheat and Risks
Warface uses the MRAC anti-cheat (Mail.Ru Anti-Cheat) or EasyAntiCheat (on EU).
Proxifier itself is not a cheat, and you usually don't get banned for it.
However, the anti-cheat can be "triggered" by the intervention into the
Game.exeprocess.Recommendation: Use Proxifier's "Intercept network calls" mode rather than injections if given the choice. And always test on a smurf (non-main account).
Conclusion
Warface has no built-in proxy settings because it is a competitive shooter. But with a Proxifier and a fast SOCKS5 proxy, you can not only bypass an IP ban but also improve damage registration by shortening the network route.
👉 Want stable "hit reg" without packet loss? Choose our Static Residential SOCKS5 proxies with UDP support. Optimal routing and zero lag for a comfortable game.
